On the afternoon of this Monday (07/11), coach Tite, from the Brazilian team, announced the squad for the World Cup in Qatar, which takes place at the end of this month.

Of the 26 called up for the World Cup, 12, that is, almost half, play for Premier League clubs. Check out the teams with the most players:

  • Manchester United: Antony, Casemiro and Fred
  • Liverpool: Alisson, Fabinho
  • Arsenal: Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus
  • Manchester City: Ederson
  • Chelsea: Thiago Silva
  • West Ham: Paquetá
  • Newcastle: Bruno Guimarães
  • Tottenham: Richarlison

Antony, Casemiro and Paquetá recently arrived in England. The first two are already shining at Manchester United, led by Erik ten Hag. While the third has already impressed many at West Ham.

Manchester United, in fact, is, alongside Real Madrid, the club with the most athletes called up for the Brazilian team that will compete in the World Cup.

Arsenal’s duo Martinelli and Jesus have stood out this season by leading the campaign that puts the English team at the top of the Premier League. With this, both guaranteed their places on Tite’s final list. The Gunners’ other Brazilian starter, Gabriel Magalhães, ended up being left out, despite having an excellent time.

At Liverpool, Alisson and Fabinho were already guaranteed players among the 26 called up for the World Cup. The doubt remained about Firmino, who ended up not being called up by Tite.
